The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Poster!

I know this ┬áisn’t much, but hey its at least something.

The picture kind of reminds me of a scene from Inception with all the buildings crumbling down….anyways… it looks like Gotham shall once again be under chaos from a bevy of super-villains in this third┬áinstallment, that sees Batman going up against the man that broke his back in the comic books, Bane! He also faces the likes of catwoman and if my info is correct, Talia Al Ghul. This movie should be quite the interesting one when it drops into theaters.

For all you Harry Potter fans out there, be on the look out for a teaser of the film (if my sources are correct on that one).

The Dark Knight Rises is due out in theaters next summer!

And the new Superman is…

Well I am sure most of you out there are excited to learn that a new Superman movie is in the works. I have very high hopes that it will better than what was offered to us in the form of what was Superman Returns. In any case, I’m sure Zack Snyder will be able to pull this badboy off, well even if the story isn’t all that I’m sure we shall have a lot of action that has not been depicted in any Superman movie before, well except for maybe Superman 2, but that was the early 80s we need something a little updated. And also don’t expect to see anyone kicked into a bottomless pitt yelling THIS IS SPARTA. (more…)

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane….

The folks over at Warner Bros. have finally made their decision on casting Anne Hathaway in the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie scheduled for release in the summer of 2012. This shall be a very interesting take on the character and I am eagerly looking forward to see how Mr. Nolan will make this character. Let’s just hope its better than the last Catwoman that we saw…Halle Berry looked very pretty. (more…)

Andrew Garfield as Spiderman (First Look)

As we all know the rebooted Spiderman movie is right around the corner…ehm ok so maybe it won’t be out until the summer of 2012, but hey at least we can see this wonderful new photo of Spiderman from the upcoming movie. This should hold us together, right…right?

Rhys Ifans the new villain in Spiderman…

Rhys Ifans has joined the cast of the new Spiderman film. He now stands along side Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the action thriller. The actor is most recognizably known as Hugh Grant’s roommate in the 1999 romantic comedy Notting Hill.

Although we know who Garfield and Stone are playing in the film, we have no clue as to who Ifans will be playing. Sony is keeping pretty mum on his villainous role.

I hope it is someone we haven’t seen yet; everyone is thinking the Lizard, but what if it’s Mysterio or Carnage…perhaps a little too soon for that.

Who do you think the villain will be in the next Spiderman film? The film is due to be released July 3, 2012!

Gwen Stacy correction…

Perhaps the people over at Sony have been reading my blog…

Emma Stone has been cast in the role of Gwen Stacy and not Mary Jane-Watson. Now we may possibly see a much darker Spider-Man film due to Gwen Stacy’s character and the effects that has on the web-slinger.

Check out this post to read on what I thought about the casting of MJ and not Gwen.

Superman director finally found…

Its funny how news can be updated very quickly, just a few days ago I made a post that Darren Aronofsky was rumored to be directing the new Superman movie The Man of Steel. It has now been finally confirmed that Zack Snyder has been selected to take the reigns of the next film.

Zack Snyder has made some incredible hits such as Dawn of the Dead, 300 and Watchmen. We can expect to see the new Superman film sometime by 2012.

Philip Seymour Hoffman as Venom….

Now here is a crazy thing running around the rumour mill. Philip Seymour Hoffman is apparently in talks of playing Venom in the Spiderman franchise. Yay for having Venom apart of the rebooted franchise, but why have Mr. Hoffman play the part of Venom? (more…)

Natalie Portman is Lois Lane and Darren Aronofsky set to direct Superman? Oh my…

Word has reached my ears that that the lovely and talented Natalie Portman is in the running of playing Lois Lane in the new Superman film. And if Darren Aronofsky is actually set to direct the film she may very well get the part. The reason why is because she is starring in his new film Black Swan.

Stop with the video game movies…Please?

If you are going to make a video game movie, please make it right! Video games enable us to enter into another realm where we become whoever we want to be. Want to be gun wielding super soldier you can, want to hi-jack cars and annoy cops, you can certainly do that as well. Sometimes people try to take a video game and try to mold it into a feature length film, which some times does well and others…crappy. (more…)
