Well I must say that Transformers has had crazy success over the last couple of years now starting with the movies although I never liked the second, but commercially it has raked in quite a bit. Though the movies and shows have been doing well there has never been a great game to follow up with this…until now! (more…)
Joss Whedon is the creative mind behind TV shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly. It is finally nice to know that someone has been confirmed to head this project since it has been discussed about for the last couple of years. As the Emperor from Star Wars would say, “Everything is going according to plan!”
When Edward Norton was set to make The Incredible Hulk, it was reported that there were disputes between him and Marvel Entertainment on the direction of the film. Well they did set aside their differences and put together a wonderfully crafted film that really out did the last film with Eric Bana.
Well I guess those disputes came back up and with that Mr. Norton will no longer be in the picture which means they will have to find a new Bruce/Hulk to take over the character for the Avengers film.
Perhaps they can use Eric Bana again afterall he did do a good job as Hulk its just that the rest of the film…sucked.
Guess who’s back in the gaming world? That’s right Bond…James Bond is back once again in a brand new video game called, 007: Blood Stone. Details for me are a bit sketchy at the moment, but it does include an all star cast using the voices and likeness of Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, and Joss Stone. Hopefully this incarnation is better than the last one (Quantum of Solace).
This seems to be a great year for Mr. Bond with a re-imagining of Goldeneye slated for release later on this year for the Wii. Anyways enough of my chatter, check out the trailer!
It plays very similarly to the first one…actually it is a lot like the first one, which is a huge problem. There are not a lot of changes made to the game from what I played. Yes, I know its just a demo and it isn’t the full game, but the point of a demo is to give you a preview of a game that shows off something new especially if it is a sequel. If anything I could just pull out a copy of Crackdown 1 and play that.
However for those of you who haven’t played the first Crackdown then you can play this game and feel glorious! I just feel in my opinion that the game never bedazzled me like other demos such as Transformers or Gears of War.
But if you loved the first one and want an updated rendition then check it out.
Hey folks here is the first official look at Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming film as Green Lantern. I have to say the pic looks pretty awesome and I am looking forward to see what they do with the film. The film has a scheduled release date of June 17, 2011. Now I’m not a huge fan when it comes to watching animated films in theatres, I tend to wait for them to come out on DVD and then watch them. I was however dragged by friends to go see this movie and I had a lot of doubts about the film; that is initially my gut reaction for animated films. However after watching this film I walked away a very happy man. Toy Story 3 belongs in the category of great films for the year perhaps even all time! (more…)
Well I’m sure most of you have been wondering what’s happening with the latest Batman movie and some things are slowly coming to light. If you read my last blog post about Batman then in it you will have seen where I mentioned when it will be releasing and the director already knows how the story will end.
Now a lot of names have been thrown around as to who will play the villain like Johnny Depp. First off people are speculating as to which villain is going to be in the next film and I’ve heard things from bringing back Ra’s Al Ghoul to Penguin.
The actor/comedian Robin Williams is throwing his name into the hat of wanting to play the Riddler. Even if he’s not Riddler he would like to be in some way attached to the film. The likely hood of this being possible is very high seeing as how Williams worked with Christopher Nolan (director) on the thriller hit Insomnia. So who knows we can possibly see Williams as the next villain and if you ask me I think it has the possibility of matching Ledger’s performance from 2008s The Dark Knight. But only time will tell…
As you may have heard before, the Spiderman franchise is receiving a reboot after its previous director Sam Raimi opted not to return due to reports of creative differences. Not only that but the actor playing the titular hero Tobey Maguire was not going to return if his director was not going to be there. Sony thus had to search for someone to helm the project but not only that they needed a new actor to fill the role.
A few months back you may have heard that Marc Webb was offered the directorial duties to helm the franchise. He is best known for his work with the highly acclaimed romantic-comedy 500 Days of Summer. And now we have our new Spiderman, introducing…Andrew Garfield. You can view the photo to get a better look at the next Peter Parker. He is a newcomer and this is his first major role (headlining) Hopefully he can fill the role left by Tobey Maguire, Spiderman 2 is one of my favourite movies. There is plenty of time to get things underway the reboot film has a release date of July 3, 2012.
